Recently, Big Country Elementary had a big party to celebrate its Teacher of the Year and a Rising Star student. The party was held at a Southwest ISD Board Meeting in March 2026. This award shows that the school cares about both being a good student and a good leader at school. The event showed how dedicated teachers are and how well students do when they work hard and are dedicated. It shows that the school wants to create a culture of success and growth, and celebrate success.
