Students and families at Linda Herrington Elementary School were part of the Round Rock Independent School District’s opening of the 2025-26 school year in August, where school staff and district leaders welcomed students back on the first day after the summer break. Parents were on site before classes began to sign in and help younger students get settled into classrooms as teachers led morning activities. The return to class marked the start of another full academic calendar with scheduled holidays, breaks, and instructional days planned throughout the year.
