Berkner High School recently celebrated some big accomplishments by its students, such as the Mariachi Orgullo ensemble making it to the state competition and a student winning a medal in wrestling for the first time in state history. This February, the campus also had a Multicultural Night and an Open House to celebrate the students' diverse backgrounds and sense of community. Also, twelve students from the Texas Association of Future Educators chapter won top honors at the state level. Five of them will compete in the national competition in Portland, Oregon, next month.
