Renner Middle eighth-grader Matthew Kuo was named a Top 30 finalist in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge in September 2025. His project examined factors affecting fuel cell energy efficiency, and he was later enrolled at Jasper High at the time of recognition.
