Nimitz Middle School in Odessa began the 2025–26 school year with a new principal stepping into the role at the campus. Before students came back to campus, the new principal spent time with teachers and staff talking through plans for the year and how daily school routines would run. Those conversations focused on improving classroom learning and keeping daily school routines consistent. District officials noted that the change in leadership is meant to bring fresh direction while keeping the focus on student progress.
