Cavazos Middle School recently opened cheerleading tryouts for the 2026–2027 school year. Seventh-grade students interested in joining the squad were asked to collect a tryout packet in February. The process also included a parent information meeting before selections in early March. School officials say the team supports campus events and helps lead school spirit activities during the year.
