Los Fresnos is an expanding city located in Cameron County, Texas, with a population of approximately 8,563 residents. It is situated in the center of the Rio Grande Valley, close to Brownsville. It is a Hispanic city, which has a close-knit community, family-oriented culture, and deep-rooted cultural heritage based on South Texas traditions. Los Fresnos CISD includes nine elementary schools that provide education to more than 4,100 students and emphasize their success in science, technology, engineering, and math disciplines (STEM).
