Salinas Elementary joined UISD's district-wide STREAM Day science events in both the fall and spring semesters of 2025-26, giving students hands-on science exposure outside the standard classroom format. The school also participated in the UISD Open Enrollment campaign for 2026-27, which opened February 2, 2026. UISD's Exceptional Olympics, held in March 2026, included student and staff participation from Salinas alongside peers from all 44 district campuses in what the district described as the 10th Annual event.
