Leyendecker Elementary School in Laredo, Texas, offers an excellent starting place for young students with academic and social development. Leyendecker Elementary is part of the Laredo Independent School District. The school offers a whole child approach with individualized learning experiences through engaging hands-on learning opportunities and co-teaching. During spring 2023 reporting, 83% of students met reading STAAR standards, 72% met math benchmarks, and 85% met science expectations. Someone going through these scores would recognize this school closing achievement gaps, as well as providing opportunities for the community through Junior Achievement and gifted student experience through local STEM organizations.
