A team from Bette Perot Elementary recently earned first place in Keller ISD’s annual “Battle of the Books” competition, a districtwide academic challenge that tests students’ knowledge of selected literature. The school’s team, known as the Blazing Bookworms, won the elementary division after several rounds of quiz-style questions based on books they studied throughout the year. The event included teams from 23 elementary campuses across Keller ISD, and Bette Perot Elementary’s group finished at the top after the final round of questions.
