YES Prep—Southside is a public charter school in Houston, Texas, that only serves students in grades 6 through 12. It is part of the YES Prep Public Schools Inc. network and is known as one of the best schools because it prepares students for college. The campus has about 900 students and about 17 students for every teacher. It is known for being very academic, with an amazing 100% participation rate in Advanced Placement courses and tests. YES Prep Southside Secondary school students are making great progress in their personal and professional lives through unique partnerships, such as hosting the Sister 2 Sistah workshop to meet civic leaders and business owners. The campus is currently holding intensive spring tutorial sessions to help students improve their basic academic skills and boost their confidence before big tests. The graduating class is also getting ready for Senior Signing Day, which is a big deal where they will officially announce their plans for college and their careers.
