Being Updated
Scroggins Elementary has successfully added new interactive coding and digital storytelling modules to its technology-focused magnet curriculum for the current school year. The school's "Perfect Attendance" campaign has made a lot more students come to school every day. This means that more students can use the campus's specialized tech and fine arts resources.
Q1. What kinds of fine arts classes can students take through the Scroggins El magnet curriculum?
Ans. Students in all grades can take specialized classes in photography, digital media, and even classical dance through our magnet program.
Q2. Does Scroggins El offer any "Parent University" sessions to help parents help their kids learn math at home?
Ans. Every three months, we have "Math and Munchies" nights where teachers show parents fun ways to practice fractions and multiplication together.
Q3. How does Scroggins El follow the district's health and wellness policy while still celebrating student birthdays?
Ans. To make sure everyone can join in on the fun, parents can bring things like stickers or pencils to share with the class.
Q4. Does Scroggins El have any mentoring programs where local high school students help younger students?
Ans. Our "Big Buddy" program pairs high school students from the area with our students once a week to help them with their homework and reading.
Q5. Is there a school-wide system at Scroggins El that rewards students for being nice and honest?
Ans. Students get "Scroggins Stars" for good behavior, which they can trade for fun things like "Lunch with the Principal."
