The School At St. George Place is still one of Houston's best IB World Schools. Recently, it held a "International Baccalaureate Exhibition" where students could show off their research projects from around the world. People have said good things about the school's 2026 inclusive leadership and how well it supports a wide range of international students in the HISD network.
Q1. What are the benefits of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum at The School At St. George Place for elementary school students?
Ans. Our IB program teaches students how to be "Inquirers" by showing them how to ask deep questions and find solutions to problems around the world.
Q2. Does The School At St. George Place offer any special world language classes for its students from different backgrounds?
Ans. As part of their regular weekly international curriculum rotations, all students take Mandarin Chinese or Spanish lessons.
Q3. Can parents give cultural presentations at The School At St. George Place?
Ans. We have a "International Festival" where parents are encouraged to tell students about their family's history, food, and traditions.
Q4. How does The School At St. George Place deal with applications for its well-known magnet program?
Ans. Families must apply through the HISD "Choice" portal during the Phase 1 window to be considered for our magnet.
Q5. Does St. George Place School have a special "Outdoor Classroom" or garden for studying the environment?
Ans. Yes, as part of their science units, students can learn about local ecosystems and how to garden in a way that is good for the environment in our "Exploration Garden."
