Mission West El is proud to be a part of the district's "Excellence for All" program, which has helped all of its students improve their math, reading, and writing skills. Fifth graders at the school are now helping younger kids with their social and academic skills as part of a new program. As part of the 2026 campus climate survey, leaders are now saying that teachers are very happy with their jobs.

Ans. Every year, Mission West El offers special projects and advanced learning opportunities for students who are identified as gifted and talented.

Ans. The Wildcat is the Mission West El mascot. It stands for the school's energy and pride in academics.
Q3. Does Mission West El hold a science and engineering fair every year?
Ans. Yes, every spring, all of the students at Mission West El take part in a campus-wide Science Fair to show off their creative research.
Q4. What time does Mission West El let students out early on certain days?
Ans. On official early dismissal days, Mission West El lets students out at 12.10 PM so teachers can have professional development sessions.
Q5. How can parents at Mission West El help out with events on campus?
Ans. Parents at Mission West El are encouraged to sign up for the VIPS program to help with school events.
