The 12th Superintendent's Fun Run is happening right now. Matzke El students and staff are running to raise money for scholarships for CFISD graduates. The "Matzke Wildcat" artists from the campus recently received awards at the district's annual spring fine arts show. As the school year 2026 goes on, leadership updates show that safety and character development are still very important.
Q1. What special safety program does Matzke El offer for its students?
Ans. Matzke El has a special Junior Police Academy that teaches kids about safety, civic duty, and how to be a leader in their community.
Q2. What animal do the kids at Matzke El use as their school mascot?
Ans. The Wildcat is the Matzke El mascot. It stands for the school's students' energy and determination.
Q3. Is there a special science discovery garden at Matzke El?
Ans. Yes, Matzke El has an outdoor learning garden where students can learn about plants and the environment by doing things.
Q4. How does Matzke El on campus celebrate students' birthdays?
Ans. Matzke El celebrates students' birthdays by announcing them in the morning and asking for "Birthday Book" donations to the school library.
Q5. Does Matzke El have music clubs that meet after school?
Ans. For upper elementary students, Matzke El has a number of enrichment clubs, such as a campus choir and percussion ensemble.
