Being Updated
Gregg Elementary switched to the district's New Education System (NES) for the 2024–2025 school year. This made it harder for the students to get help with their lessons. Recently, the campus held a fun ceremony to honor the "Gregg Dragons" students who have been working hard and getting better at reading and writing. Families have said nice things about how the school is focusing more on safety and high academic standards.
Q1.Do students at Gregg Elementary need clear or mesh backpacks this year?
Ans. Yes, the district requires all students at Gregg Elementary to use clear or mesh backpacks to keep the campus safe.
Q2. What is the official school mascot for the students at Gregg Elementary?
Ans. The Dragon is the official school mascot. It stands for the fierce academic determination and strong spirit of the whole community.
Q3. Does Gregg Elementary have a nurse on staff to help with everyday medical needs?
Ans. Every day on campus, a registered nurse is there to help students with their medications, first aid, and general health needs.
Q4. How does Gregg Elementary School handle the drop-off process for students who ride in cars?
Ans. Parents must use the designated circular drive on Red Rock Street starting at 7.30 AM for safe student arrival.
Q5. Do students at Gregg Elementary have the chance to take any special music classes?
Ans. Students go to general music classes once a week to learn about different instruments and get ready for seasonal school-wide choir performances.
