The new plan at Rufino Mendoza Sr. Elementary is to get more kids to read and be active at school. The people who live and work in the school community are happy that new leaders are coming in who want to make the school better and keep the kids healthy. It is still an important part of the neighborhood because it helps students learn by giving them the help and tools they need.
