The new plan at Rufino Mendoza Sr. Elementary is to get more kids to read and be active at school. The people who live and work in the school community are happy that new leaders are coming in who want to make the school better and keep the kids healthy. It is still an important part of the neighborhood because it helps students learn by giving them the help and tools they need.
Q1. Does Rufino Mendoza Sr. El offer any ESL or bilingual education?
Ans. The school has a full dual-language program that helps students become very good at both English and Spanish.
Q2. What are the colors and mascot of Rufino Mendoza Sr. El?
Ans. Students show their school spirit by wearing the Mendoza Mavericks' colors on spirit days and other events.
Q3. Is there an active Parent Teacher Association at Rufino Mendoza Sr El?
Ans. The school has a dedicated PTA that plans events for the community, raises money, and shows teachers how much they are appreciated all year long.
Q4. How does Rufino Mendoza Sr. El celebrate the birthdays of its students?
Ans. We announce birthdays in the morning, and parents can plan small, non-food celebrations with the teachers in the classroom.
Q5. Does Rufino Mendoza Sr El have any classes on coding or robotics?
Ans. Fifth graders can join a technology club that focuses on basic programming and mechanical design.
