Being Updated
Brownsville ISD has recently made a number of positive changes, and Southmost Elementary School has been a part of them. In March 2026, the district said that a record number of teachers had earned TIA designations. This showed that there was a lot of good teaching going on at all of its schools. The school community has also stayed busy by going to events in the area, like Charro Days, and keeping up with news, like the 2026–2027 school year calendar. These updates all show that the school is still engaged, active, and focused on both learning and being a part of the community.
