Lamar High School's new "Viking Success" tutoring sessions are getting a lot of students involved. The sessions are meant to help students do well in their core subjects and get ready for college entrance exams. The school's sports facilities have been improved with the addition of a new synthetic turf field, which will help both the football and soccer teams in the 2026 season. Additionally, a number of student musicians were recently chosen for the All-State Orchestra and Band, which is a great honor and shows how talented the school's fine arts department is.
