Hayden Brillhart, a senior at Amarillo High School, recently won the UIL 5A State Student Congress championship. This is the first time an Amarillo ISD student has won this important title. In addition to this academic success, seniors Finn Archer and Quan Nguyen were named National Merit Finalists for the 2026 competition. Also, a number of student-athletes have signed letters of intent to play college sports. Six seniors have signed national letters of intent to continue their football and track careers at colleges across the region.
