Last September, a special education assistant at the school was given the Life Saver Award for saving the life of a pre-kindergarten student during an emergency. The school community praised her for her dedication and commitment to the safety and well-being of students. She quickly performed CPR on the child, which helped him get better.

Ans. Yes, the school has STEM clubs, coding classes, and other activities after school to get students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Ans. The school has programs for Spanish-speaking students to improve their bilingual skills and offers English as a Second Language (ESL) help.
Q3. Are there any chances for students to be leaders at John Colemon Elementary?
Ans. Yes, students can join a student council, take on leadership roles in the classroom, and become peer mentors to learn how to be leaders.
Q4. How does the school help students learn about their emotions and how to get along with others?
Ans. To help students become more aware of their feelings and improve their social skills, the school offers SEL lessons, counseling, and character education.
Q5. Do parents want to help out or take part in school events?
Ans. Yes, the school actively asks parents to help out with events, in the classroom, and on school committees to get the community involved.
