In June of 2025, Julie Wolaver was introduced as the incoming principal of J.E. Woodard Elementary, with plans for her transition into the school’s leadership for the next school year.
Q1. What is the story of J.E. Woodard Elementary School?
Ans. In the year of 1985, Columbia, Tennessee, opened J.E. Woodard Elementary School. It started as a small community school, but now it has more than 600 students and focuses on academic excellence and community service.
Q2. How does J.E. Woodard Elementary School get parents involved with their kids?
Ans. J.E. Woodard Elementary School gets parents involved by holding PTA meetings once a month, asking them to help with classroom projects, and letting them go to student-led events like science fairs and art shows.
Q3. What extra classes and fun activities are available at J.E. Woodard Elementary?
Ans. The school has after-school robotics programs, coding classes, music and art workshops, and chess. Students can also join creative writing clubs and sports leagues that happen at certain times of the year.
