West Scranton Intermediate School, part of the Scranton School District, serves students in grades 5–8. The school is committed to establishing a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. The faculty and staff are focused on preparing students academically, as well as in their personal development, through tutoring, guidance, counseling, and gifted programs for advanced learning. Students have access to unique facilities: a gym, a swimming pool, a planetarium, and a library. Students are also recognized for excellence with annual awards signifying success in academics, service, and leadership, which keeps students motivated each and every day.
