Wissahickon Charter School recently expanded its environmental education mission by creating a functional rain garden where students can study local ecology, sustainability, and water conservation through hands-on learning experiences. Graduating eighth-grade students also finalized plans for a sustainable community garden project intended to provide fresh vegetables to local food pantries.
