Latest News

Recently, a major safety incident shook the Truman Primary School community. A car hit a 4-year-old child in the morning drop-off line at the school. The child was aware of what was happening and was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Luckily, the driver stayed at the scene and is working with the police. This scary accident has led to a new look at Truman Primary's drop-off procedures and campus traffic safety. In better news, Truman Primary School was recently the center of attention for a big celebration: Norman Public Schools opened its Spanish Language Academy with a ribbon-cutting ceremony right on the Truman campus. The new academy shows how serious the district is about bilingual education and including people from different cultures. This is a big step forward for the school community. Truman Primary School was one of 14 Norman Public Schools buildings to get the EPA's ENERGY STAR Certification. This means it meets high standards for energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
