Latest News

In recent news, Superintendent Melissa Baughman wrote to families to let them know that SNAP benefits may be temporarily stopped starting on November 1. This could put a strain on the finances of many families in the district. Families were told by the school that students would still get school meals based on their current eligibility status. Families who are having trouble with money should get in touch with Jackie Lee, the school's Child Nutrition representative, to update their free or reduced-price meal applications. The message also talked about some local food resources, like the Moore Food and Resource Center, Trinity Baptist Church, and the Mission Norman Food Pantry. Parents can also call 211 to get information about food help in their state. Robin Hill Public School made it clear that its staff is always available to help families with questions, needs, or counseling for students who are feeling stressed or unsure. The Oklahoma Department of Human Services has more information and resources for the whole community about SNAP and the shutdown. Superintendent Baughman ended by saying that the district is committed to helping each other through this tough time and making sure that every child feels safe, secure, and cared for.
