Being Updated
In June 2025, Norman Public Schools said that Lincoln Elementary School had earned the EPA ENERGY STAR® Certification. This meant that the school was one of the most energy-efficient buildings in the district. This designation shows that the school is still working to lower utility costs and improve the air quality inside, which makes the learning environment healthier and more sustainable. The Norman Public Schools Board gave the go-ahead for a site-improvement contract for Lincoln Elementary in March 2025. As part of this project, a basketball court that was taken down will be resurfaced, parking will be expanded, and upgrades will be made to meet ADA standards. These changes are meant to make the school more useful and accessible for students, staff, and families. In February 2025, Lincoln Elementary was also part of the district's outreach for Pre-K enrollment. An open house that drew a lot of people gave parents a chance to see early-childhood classrooms and meet teachers, showing that the school is dedicated to early learning. These changes—improvements to the building that will last, investments in infrastructure, and a focus on early education—show that Lincoln Elementary is gaining strength. The school is now certified as energy-efficient, and the campus is more accessible and family-friendly. This shows that the school is looking to the future and is focused on the community.
