Being Updated
The Norman Board of Education recently passed a resolution that strongly supports inclusivity and student rights. It said that they will not collect or discriminate against students based on their immigration status, and they will continue to protect students' privacy, safety, and education. At the same time, Jefferson Elementary School is actively involving its community. For example, its live feed shows an upcoming Veterans' Day celebration, and the money from flag sales will go to Wreaths Across America to honor local veterans. Schools in North Platte The school is also sending out its October 2025 community newsletter, which includes events like Bingo for Books, Halloween parties, and meetings between parents and teachers. Norman Public Schools recently announced the opening of a Spanish Language Academy, which is another way the district is giving students more academic and cultural opportunities. NPS has also put in place a new rule that limits how much students can use their own devices during school hours.
