Youngstown Rayen Early College High School marked 20 years of providing tuition-free college access, with 59% of the 2024 graduating class earning an associate degree from Youngstown State University along with their diploma. On Aug. 23, 2025, the Wood Street campus marked the milestone with an anniversary convocation featuring alumni who have gone on to become entrepreneurs, professors and professionals at Nike and The Raymond John Wean Foundation, among others. YREC provides SAT and ACT prep, early college classes and a nurturing atmosphere to prepare students for four-year universities and careers.
