On October 23, 2025, Summit Academy Secondary – Youngstown hosted a College and Trade School Fair that provided students an opportunity to learn about postsecondary options by talking to representatives from Choffin Career and Technical Center, Kent State University, Laurel Technical Institute, Raphael’s School of Beauty and Sheet Metal Workers Local 33. The school received a Bronze Recognition Award from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for the PBIS program, which recognizes students daily for safety, respect, full participation and honest feedback.
