The Liberty Local School District has E.J. Blott Elementary School, which is the best elementary school in Liberty Township, Ohio, near Youngstown, serving students in PK–3, with an enrollment of 380 and a student-teacher ratio of 14:1 with 28 full-time teachers and 1 full-time school counselor. The school has 47% female students and 53% male students. E.J. Blott says that about 52% of students are good at reading and about 57% are good at math. Schools close by, like West Boulevard Elementary School in Boardman, do better. 87% of students are good at math, and 82% are good at reading. Students from E.J. Blott eventually go to Liberty High School. Dr. Amy Acton, a former head of the Ohio Department of Health, is one of its most famous graduates. There are affordable homes in this area. Three-bedroom rentals usually cost between $900 and $1,300 a month.
