Boardman Center Intermediate School in Boardman, Ohio (grades 4–6), the best elementary school, has about 69% of its students doing well in math and about 75% doing well in reading. The school has about 833 students and a student-teacher ratio of about 17:1. West Boulevard Elementary School, which is close by, has a higher math rate (about 87%) and reading rate (about 82%) for lower grades. The student body is made up of 48% girls and 52% boys. 54% of the students at the school come from low-income families. There are 48 full-time teachers and 2 full-time school counselors who do the same work. Boardman High School, the senior feeder high school, has famous alumni like Corey Linsley (NFL center) and Bernie Kosar (former NFL quarterback). Current listings show that three-bedroom rentals in the Boardman area usually cost between $1,250 and $1,700 per month.
