Summit Academy Transition High School Dayton alumna, Class of 2025, Anna Barnett, started working for the school’s food service department after graduation, earning Person-in-Charge food safety and USDA National School Lunch Program training so she could work with her former classmates. In May 2025, the school was privileged to welcome State Rep. Brian Lampton for a productive visit with History and Government classes, where students discussed state and federal governance, the legislative process, and current policy issues. For fall 2025, Summit launched a new Theatre Club, headed by teacher Katherine Spain, giving about 15 active members a chance to be creative and grow.
