Oakwood High School hosted a United States District Court naturalization ceremony on January 23, 2025, where more than 35 people from over 20 countries became citizens while eighth graders observed the Constitution in action. The Lumberjacks’ advanced choir won the Dayton Daily News/Dayton Dragons national anthem contest and performed at Day Air Ballpark on Opening Night, April 7, 2025, showcasing the school’s acclaimed music program. Oakwood’s Quiz Bowl team finished second out of 24 teams at the Little Miami Academic Challenge in November 2025, qualifying for OAC Regionals after an undefeated run in the Gold Division.
