Valleyview Elementary School recently launched a new student-led news program, live from the school’s own TV production studio. *Congratulations to the 5th grade strings ensemble for an amazing performance at the district’s fine arts festival this past weekend. The campus also updated its dual computer labs, giving students more opportunities for interactive coding and digital research projects.
Q1. What special art programs are available to students at Valleyview Elementary School?
Ans. Valleyview has full time art and music programs including special strings lessons for 5th grade students.
Q2. What is the Valleyview Elementary school schedule and dismissal time?
Ans. Cafeteria opens at 7:30 A.M. Tardy bell rings at 8:05 A.M. Dismissal begins at 2:45 P.M.
Q3. Does Valleyview Elementary School have any technology facilities or media programs?
Ans. Yes, the campus has two computer labs, a media center with computers and a TV production studio for student use.
Q4. What are the requirements for a student to be eligible for the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) or Kindergarten programs?
Ans. Children must be 4 years old by September 1 for VPK, while Kindergarten enrollment requires the child to be 5 years old before September 1 of the school year.
Q5. How do visitors gain access to Valleyview Elementary and how is student safety maintained on campus?
Ans. All visitors are required to sign in at the main office through the use of the Visitor Tracking System and show a valid government-issued I.D. to obtain the required name badge.
