Valley Forge Elementary School recently celebrated a significant milestone in its early childhood program, with students showing marked improvement in foundational literacy and numeracy. The school community hosted local families and health professionals for a day of interactive fitness challenges and nutritional workshops at the annual Wellness Fair. Recently, the campus was recognized for its commitment to the PBIS framework, creating a culture that is positive and respectful and encourages every scholar to be responsible and safe.
Q1. What time does Valley Forge Elementary School start and end?
Ans. Grades 1-4 will begin at 9:10 AM and end at 3:45 PM. AM Kindergarten will be from 9:10 AM to 12:05 PM.
Q2. How will the school communicate emergency closings or delayed openings to families?
Ans. The district uses the TE All-Call automated phone system and information is also broadcast on major television networks and local cable channels.
Q3. What are some of the key behaviors we want students to do with PBIS?
Ans. The three pillars of behavior for student success in the district are be respectful, be responsible, be safe.
Q4. Are there ways for parents to get involved in the school community?
Ans. Yes, there are many volunteer opportunities for families through the VFES PTO including board positions, event chairpersons and even opportunities that can be done from home.
Q5. How can a parent request a change to their child’s normal dismissal procedure?
Ans. If a change is needed after the school day has begun, parents should send a written note to the teacher and attendance office or an email to vfeattendance@tesd.net.
