Ohio Construction Academy students are provided with hands-on training that combines Common Core academics and trade skills, preparing graduates for careers as electricians, carpenters and other skilled professionals. The school’s monthly newsletter features the academy’s Shark Supply program and Habitat for Humanity projects that give scholars hands-on construction experience and help the community. Recent grads, like Chinue Titus, have gone straight into electrical work with the Romanoff Group. Seniors can earn industry credentials and start apprenticeships. With OCA's model, students can graduate with job-ready certifications in high-demand construction fields.
