Linden-McKinley STEM Academy students organized and led an ICE protest, demonstrating civic engagement and leadership while using their journalism skills to report on community issues. The school’s student journalists in the “Truth to the People,” “The Knowledge,” and “Scarlet Arts” programs are training the next generation of Columbus reporters, covering topics from food pantry needs to student athlete stress. Linden-McKinley partnered with Columbus Crew SC and Acura for a Lunch & Learn focused on the SMART Columbus Design Challenge, giving 7th graders hands-on exposure to engineering and design thinking.
