East High School ninth graders made history by advancing to the BPA State Leadership Conference, with students placing first and second in Prepared Speech and second in Human Resource Management after intensive interview and presentation preparation. The school’s new College and Career Academies launched with a visit from health care and business leaders, giving scholars in the Academy of Health Sciences hands-on exposure to clinical skills and certifications like Medical Assistant. East High students in the academies explore real-world pathways starting in ninth grade, connecting classroom learning to careers in health care and business.
