Being Updated
Alfred A. Benesch will merge with the school for the 2026-27 school year as part of CMSD’s Building Brighter Futures initiative, an official update from George Washington Carver said. The plan merges two school communities at the George Washington Carver campus, stressing continuity, student support and improved shared resources. The school’s updates also included teacher appreciation and districtwide spring events, giving families a timely glimpse into community connection and what’s next for the school.

Ans. George Washington Carver uses iPads, mentoring, classroom technology and STEM learning to help students develop confidence in core subjects.

Ans. George Washington Carver gives students a chance to engage in activities such as basketball, chess, cheerleading and mentoring opportunities, along with regular classroom lessons.

Ans. George Washington Carver joins forces with City Year, Cleveland Central Promise, and Burten, Bell, Carr Development to boost student and community support.
Q4. Does George Washington Carver serve meals?
Ans. George Washington Carver provides free breakfast and lunch, which is a big help to students throughout the school day.
Q5. What should families know about George Washington Carver’s vision for the future?
Ans. Under CMSD’s Building Brighter Futures plan, George Washington Carver is expected to welcome Alfred A. Benesch students in 2026–27.
