The Spencer Center for Gifted and Exceptional Students operates under the Cincinnati Public Schools umbrella as a magnet program for grades 3 through 12. The Spencer Center serves gifted and advanced learners, maintains low enrollment (roughly 350 students) and low student–teacher ratios (12:1). Spencer Center's performance is impressive, with proficiency levels rated approximately 84% in math and 88% in reading, while providing other enriched opportunities such as Advanced Placement courses and gifted instruction. Spencer Center facilitates both rigor and personal development, creating a differentiated experience unique to CPS. Community support includes classroom requests fulfilled through donors. Choose funding. As one of the only schools in the region focused on gifted education, this public elementary school in Ohio has it all—achievement, small class sizes, and a magnet meritocracy for academically advanced learners. This is one of the best schools in Ohio.
