Being Updated
Cincinnati Public Schools broke ground on the Robert Shuman Urban Wilderness Center at Aiken New Tech High School, a first-of-its-kind collaboration with the Camping and Education Foundation. Located on Aiken’s 61-acre campus with trails connecting to Mt. Airy Forest, the center will provide hands-on learning in STEM, woodworking, leadership development, and wellness. Programs will include biweekly after-school sessions, semester-long experiential learning, and one-week internships with local businesses. Three Aiken graduates were also recognized as they committed to Miami University’s TEACh Cincinnati program, earning mentoring and pathways to become future educators.
