About Beloved Community Charter School

BelovED Community Charter School is a leading choice among Elementary Schools in New Jersey because of its state-of-the-art facilities, welcoming community, and solid academic performance. BelovED was founded in 2012 and expanded rapidly from a K–2 program to prime the first K–12 charter school network in New Jersey serving hundreds of families. The BelovED Community Charter campus consists of new buildings with specialized classrooms, a full gym, and innovative amenities to encourage students academically and socially in the arts. The BelovED school day runs longer than typical schools in the area and their free busing services extend throughout Jersey City. After-school care and activities run until 5:30 pm. This extends an unprecedented level of support to families who are employed outside of the home. The BelovED community is diverse, with nearly 80% of its students identified as minorities. A substantial portion of students reside in economically disadvantaged homes. The BelovED Community Charter School repeatedly achieves above state averages in reading despite challenges, which positions students for successful lifelong contributions.
