Pyrtle Elementary School announced its upcoming “Pickled Panther” Pickleball Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Let’s Pickle in Lincoln. Registration is required for participants. Sign-ups will remain open until January 25, 2026.
Q1. How does Pyrtle help students use Venn diagrams to compare texts?
Ans. Students put information in circles that overlap to see what two texts have in common and what they don't.
Q2: How does the school get kids to start thinking about how air takes up space?
Ans. Students use balloons and syringes (without needles) to see that air can push or stretch things, which shows that it takes up space.
Q3. What do students do to get ready for vocabulary practice on their own?
Ans. Students collect vocabulary cards, pick where to sit, and follow quiet-work rules to stay focused.
Q4. How does Pyrtle help students find landmarks on simple school maps?
Ans. Teachers use labeled icons to show students how to find important places like offices or playgrounds.
Q5. How does the school help kids learn how to edit early for punctuation?
Ans. Before turning in their writing, students use simple checklists to add missing periods, capital letters, and question marks.
