Being Updated
Pershing Elementary School held its Winter Concert in early December 2025. Fourth- and fifth-grade students performed a selection of seasonal music for families. The event highlighted their preparation and musical growth.
Q1. How does Pershing help students learn how to use headings in nonfiction?
Ans. Students learn that headings tell them what a section will talk about, which helps them become ready to read.
Q2. How does the school make it easy to look into how the length of shadows changes?
Ans. Students measure shadows outside at different times of the day to see how the angle of the sunlight changes the length.
Q3. What routines help students keep track of the fine-motor stations that change?
Ans. Students use color-coded task cards and timers and clean up before moving on to the next activity.
Q4. How does Pershing help students see how folktales are alike?
Ans. Teachers help students compare characters, types of problems, and patterns that happen over and over again in traditional stories.
Q5. What does the school do to help students use the library responsibly?
Ans. To keep the library organized, students learn to return books upright, use shelf markers, and follow limits on how long they can browse.
