Being Updated
Lakeview Elementary School celebrated Arbor Day in November 2025. The event was featured in a photo gallery by the *Lincoln Journal Star*. Students participated in activities that highlighted the importance of trees and environmental stewardship.
Q1. How does Lakeview help students see how cooling changes the states of matter?
Ans. Students learn about state changes by doing simple science experiments that show how liquids turn into solids when they cool down.
Q2. How does the school help students learn how to put things in alphabetical order beyond just the first letter?
Ans. Students compare the second and third letters of words to figure out where to put them, which helps them get better at sorting by letter.
Q3. What routines help students keep track of math fact-practice tools that they share?
Ans. Students check out flashcards or boards, move from station to station, and put things back in labeled bins for the next group.
Q4. How does Lakeview help students learn about local landmarks in community lessons?
Ans. Teachers use pictures and maps of famous places to help students relate what they learn in class to the real world.
Q5: How does the school help students use transition words when they write steps?
Ans. Students learn to use words like "next" and "finally" to show order when they write simple procedures.
