Fredstrom Elementary School hosted a special Veterans Day celebration in November 2025. Students with family members who are veterans were invited to walk with them in a school parade. The Nebraska National Guard also brought military vehicles for students to explore.

Ans. Students stack and test objects of different shapes to see which ones stay up and which ones fall over.
Q2. What does the school do to help students learn how to spot opinion statements?
Ans. Teachers point out words that show personal preference and help students tell the difference between facts and opinions.
Q3. What habits help students stay on track when they have to do different literacy tasks?
Ans. Before moving on to the next activity, students examine their task cards, follow the station charts, and have their materials ready.
Q4. How does Fredstrom teach basic direction-following by using multi-part art steps?
Ans. Students do projects with numbered steps, which means they have to follow each one exactly before moving on.
Q5. How does the school help students see why characters do what they do?
Ans. Teachers show students how to look for clues in dialogue and actions so they can explain why a character does what they do.
