Eastridge Elementary School introduced its new “Goals Take Flight” initiative to encourage positive student behavior. Eagles earn points for actions such as listening in class, working hard on assignments, and asking for help. The program is designed to celebrate effort while strengthening strong learning habits schoolwide.
Q1. How does Eastridge teach students how to read simple flowcharts?
Ans. Students use basic flowcharts with arrows and boxes to see how steps are connected, which helps them record how things are going in their learning tasks.
Q2. What does the school do to help students find out when they are overgeneralizing in their writing?
Ans. Teachers tell students when their statements are too broad and help them come up with more precise, accurate descriptions.
Q3: What do students do to keep track of math games they play in class?
Ans. Students use sign-out cards, game-piece trays, and reminders to clean up so that materials stay complete and in order.
Q4. How does Eastridge help students tell the difference between things that are natural and things that people made?
Ans. Students check if things are natural or man-made by looking at pictures or real items.
Q5: How does the school help students learn how to keep track of calendar patterns?
Ans. Students learn how time patterns can help them guess what will happen next by looking for patterns that repeat over days, weeks, or months.
