The Francis Howell R-III School District board just approved a $1.7 million project to replace the roof at Fairmount Elementary. This means that the school community is getting ready for a big infrastructure upgrade. The work will replace old parts of the roof with materials that come with a long warranty. It will take place during the school year break to cause the least amount of disruption. Families and school staff in the area were invited to a meeting to learn more about the changes to the timeline and building access. School leaders stressed that the money spent shows a larger commitment to making sure students are comfortable, safe, and able to learn well.

As the facility improvements gear up, the school continues to focus on academic growth and community engagement.
