Longfellow 45-15 Elementary is one of the most distinct Elementary Schools in Minnesota, offering students a learning model where they can attend school all year long. Students follow 45-15 school calendar, where for about 45 days students are in the school building, and for 15 days they are given a break, with optional intercessions for math, reading support, or enrichment. The year-round schedule allows for reduced learning loss, and allows for more consistent growth in academic progress. Longfellow has recently opened a completely new building which includes large windows full of natural light, classrooms enhanced with technology, and areas that allow for inclusive group and individualized learning experiences. Families from all over the district have chosen Longfellow because it is engaging, dynamic and supportive partnerships for academic progress.
